There are three safari zones within the core area of Sariska Tiger Reserve and two main entry gates:
Gate No. 1 โ Sariska (Sadar Gate) Zone 1 and Zone 2
Gate No. 2 โ Tehla Gate Zone 4
There is one safari zone within the buffer area of Sariska Tiger Reserve and one main entry gate:
Bala Quila Gate- Bara Liwari Zone

About the Safari Gates
Sariska Sadar Gate is the most popular entry point, located along the state highway toward Jaipur. This zone is known for frequent tiger movements โ notable tigers such as ST 7, ST 9, ST 15, and ST 21 are often sighted here, occasionally even near the highway. The gate also offers easy access to Alwar City and Bala Quila Buffer Zone safaris, making it ideal for same-day visitors.
Tehla Gate Safari Details
Around five gypsy vehicles operate from Tehla Gate, the second entry point to Sariska Tiger Reserve core area. This gate is ideal for guests who plan a longer wildlife stay, offering several nearby resorts with rustic charm, excellent bird-watching, and village hiking tours that can be arranged through Sariska Safari Booking.
How Many Entry Gates Are There in Sariska?
Sariska Tiger Reserve has three main entry gates that provide access to different safari zones
Gate No. 1 โ Sariska (Sadar) Gate
The primary and most popular entry point, located near Thanagazi (8 km) and Alwar city (35 km). This gate is often used for safaris in core zones where tigers such as ST9, ST15, and ST21 are frequently sighted.
Gate No. 2 โ Tehla Gate
Situated on the southern side of the reserve, Tehla Gate is ideal for visitors staying in nearby nature resorts. The gate offers access to zones with excellent chances for wildlife and bird sightings, including ST7, ST15, and ST23.
Bala Quila Gate (Alwar Side)
This gate serves as the starting point for Bala Quila Leopard Safari and Bara Liwari Zone Safari, where tigers ST18 and ST19 and their cubs are often recorded.
